The Game Plan

1. Listen to the 14, short audios in the AUDIOS section to understand what idling in protection mode is, how it shows up in daily life, and the long-term effects on the brain if we spend too much time in protection mode. Some audios also explain why specific Connection Mode on the Go actions are effective and ways to get the most out of the program. (Total time to do this is about 30 minutes)

2. Review the poster-like visuals in the RECAPS section to review key concepts presented in the audios. (Total time to do this is 5-10 minutes)

3. Each day, use the drop-down menu in VIDEOS. Open one video from each of the four categories to learn how to do a Connection Mode on the Go action. Mark which ones you chose on the action poster. You can also opt to star those that especially resonate with you.

4. After a few days of practicing those actions, return to the drop-down menu in VIDEOS. Once again, learn an action from each of the four categories. Continue with this format until you’ve watched all 26 videos.

5. Slip in whichever Connection Mode on the Go actions resonate with you whenever you notice that you’re idling in protection mode and you’re out and about (or at home).

While we always appreciate enthusiasm when learning something new, you can’t share with your log-in information with others so that they can access the program materials on their own.

There’s no additional support, such as asking staff to answer individual questions about the course content.

While Connection Mode on the Go can help everyone spend more time in connection mode, the actions in this program do not address how to complete lower brain development. (That is a primary focus on our Adult and Family Programs.)
